Flights to the USA
The United States has dozens of major airports and hundreds of destinations. Whether you're heading to the East Coast, the West, or somewhere in between, comparing gateways and dates will help you find the best fare.
Main gateways
East Coast: New York (JFK, Newark, LaGuardia), Boston (BOS), Philadelphia (PHL), Washington (DCA, IAD), Baltimore (BWI), and Miami (MIA) handle most international and domestic traffic. BWI and Newark often have lower fares.
Midwest & South: Chicago (ORD, MDW), Atlanta (ATL), Dallas (DFW), Houston (IAH), and Detroit (DTW) are major hubs with strong competition and often good deals.
West Coast: Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Las Vegas (LAS) are the main gateways. Oakland and San Jose can be cheaper alternatives to SFO; compare all when you search.
The US is huge. If you're visiting more than one region, consider open-jaw or multi-city tickets—fly into one gateway and out of another to save time and sometimes money.
When to fly
Peak demand is around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and summer. For better value, aim for January–February or September–November. Midweek flights are usually cheaper than weekends, and being flexible on which airport you use can make a big difference.

How to find cheap flights to USA
Search nearby airports
A nearby airport can be cheaper than the obvious one, especially when a city is served by multiple airports or regional alternatives.
Avoid peak travel days
Friday departures and Sunday returns often cost more. Midweek combinations are usually a better place to start.
Look outside the busiest season
Shoulder-season trips can deliver better fares, shorter lines, and more flexible flight options.
Review the full trip cost
The cheapest headline fare is not always the best value after carry-on fees, seat selection, and airport transfer costs.
