Flying to Seattle

Seattle is the gateway to the Pacific Northwest—coffee, tech, and the great outdoors. Sea-Tac is the main airport and a major hub for domestic and international travel.

Getting there

Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA) is the primary airport, about 15 miles south of downtown. It has excellent domestic coverage and growing international routes to Asia and Europe. Light rail connects the airport to the city. Use the search form above to compare fares; SEA is competitive, especially when you’re flexible on dates.

When to fly

Summer is peak season. For better deals, look at January–March or September–November. Tuesday and Wednesday departures tend to be cheaper than Friday and Sunday.

Sea-Tac can be busy. If you're flying at a peak time, allow extra time for security. Booking an early-morning flight can sometimes mean lower fares and shorter lines.
