Flying to Orlando
Orlando is the theme-park capital of the world. Two airports serve the area: Orlando International (main) and Orlando Sanford. Checking both can save you money, especially for families.
Getting there
Orlando International (MCO) is the main airport, about 6 miles from the theme parks with tons of domestic and international flights. Orlando Sanford (SFB) is about 25 miles northeast and is a base for budget carriers—often lower fares, but a longer drive to the parks. Use the search form above to compare MCO and SFB for your dates.
When to fly
Demand peaks during school breaks, holidays, and summer. For better value, aim for January–February or September (after Labor Day). Tuesday and Wednesday are typically cheaper than weekends.
If you're doing Disney or Universal, MCO’s convenience can be worth it. If you're on a tight budget or staying longer, SFB plus a rental car is often a good trade-off.
